This isnt even a cherrypick moment, it's so constant, the donations just dominate the flow of the stream.

I think we're just slowly sliding into the indie-fication of vtubers.
From his perspective it may seem like vtubing has reclined and the niche will continue to slowly bleed fans and not add new people fast enough. Being in a big corpo is not a guarantee of a quality streamer, and the novelty of a talking anime avatar is all but gone, you need actual entertainment to keep and make more fans.
