I know where Rick and Morty succeeds and where it fails to me, and if I enjoyed it more than I disliked it I would just say so.
Dan Harmon is a fat alcoholic cunt who thinks he's so deep and complex and it poisons the cartoon. All the plots about relationships suck ass, the best episodes are the ones where they explore some sci-fi concepts or lampshade tropes, and the best moments are probably the action and fight scenes where Rick pulls sci-fi gadgets out of his ass. These are great cause they can get creative with them, his weapons range from ridiculous, cool, or just funny.
And despite travel between planets and dimensions is a major part of the premise, they rarely get creative with it, majority of other species are just made to look disgusting and are called Globflorbalops or some other haha funny name. Like, I never watched Star Trek cause I'm not 50, but I'm pretty sure they could just rip off their shit and nobody would notice or care.
Overall it's just a show that has a very solid premise but is bottlenecked by it's subpar (and opinionated) creators.

Just a theory but I'd say around the time the ficklebeat stuff happened. Pastebin anon went schizo, deleted a ton of clips from the archive, and fucked off completely. That in turn killed the motivation for many deadbeats to create clips of Mori anymore.
Also the guy who used to do roundups of extended universe content fucked off entirely. Yet again this decreased the motivation from other deadbeats to keep up with eu themselves.
There's also the fact that we get more and more newbeats by the day. A year ago we had a significantly higher percentage of deadbeats who had been around since debut, and thus heard Mori talk about how much she loves supporting other content creators or were around for the first remix contest. Without moments like those to resonate in their minds, newbeats don't feel as motivated to look into the extended universe.

Some of which are skippable and QoL. It's not the same as Minecraft insofar that it takes longer to exhaust the lategame content and that there are more options to progress (again, a matter of preference and Journey is still an option). But keep in mind how many streams it takes most vtubers to get to the End, or how many of them even get there at all. I agree that Terraria isn't as intuitive, but both games require grinding and patience and learning the game. It's not like Minecraft does this so amazingly well that no other building/survival game was ever able to imitate it, while Terraria isn't known for being a Zatsudan game even if it can be played that way.
