i know, i had the same thought earlier this week. politics seems to've creeped in every hobby in ways it never did in the past. like people who wanted to paint, could just paint. now there's an orthodoxy you have to adhere to

i think elon musk is right calling it a "mind virus", it's an idea that arrives into our heads from the external, and attaches to our emotions, desires, and needs. you have to be very resolute to resist it. and in streaming, it's especially contagious, because streamers are people-pleasers by nature

i've found a few drama-free streamers who have their head above water. smart people. picrel is one, there's others. just look for them and roll your eyes at the infected people
