The claim you tried to refute, this >>69557583 is half correct, I don't believe vtubing to be an evolution of anime in the broader sense of the term, no that would be dumb, vtubing calcified itself on a smaller niche present in the past not only in the anime form but in the subconscius basis of Japanese society as a whole. Vtubing is the last iteration of 萌え, when we talk about the difference between regular streamers and vtuber we talk about this, there are no flesh streamers, that I know of, capable of invoking such a state in the viewer. Let me also point out a fact, before further confusion, Moe is not a world easy to define, we are not talking about something tangible like some sort of content, you will never hear statements such as 'Oh yeah, she is doing moe today', no no, we are talking about something underneath all of that, serpentine yet predominant in all the activities of a vtuber. Maybe she wanted to do something different and Pippa offered her a hand, that one I believe, but still as I already said about Pippa, people and content can change what it's important is that the intrinsic quality of the shadow stays the same.
