Unfortunately I never actually played VC4. I beat most of VC1 but I never fully beat it since I kept on thinking "ok now THIS is the final chapter" when it wasn't. Great game despite the okay story.
I did follow the series discussion closely for a while though so I do know how Azure Revolution was a waste and that VC3 is underrated as fuck by people who dismiss the psp entries. All I remember from reading and watching VC4 is that people enjoyed the return to form but that the game wasn't as good 1 or 3 I think?
