That's a good idea! Thinking of dogs... I want to make him do dog tricks, with the promise of giving him a good boy reward if he does them perfectly whenever I ask. He gets cocky, completely unashamed about doing them in private, but I have a plan - while we're shopping at a busy mall together I unexpectedly ask him to sit and give paw. He falters, falling silent and wide eyed, so I repeat myself firmly. Red faced, he slowly gets down onto his knees, then extends one hand (that he's curled as if it were a paw) up into mine, cocking his head to the side. Of course people are watching, but getting his reward and my affection is more important to him than giving into humiliation.
