Callie is a bad example for your argument. She sometimes does creative streams that could only work as a vtuber, like her Father's Day tulpa building stream or the little skits she puts on before her normal streams. It would be hard for a fleshie to do a skit about waking you up from a coma and sneaking you out of the hospital, which she did for a stream earlier this week.
Not every vtuber does this of course but she and other people like Coqui seem to try to use their vtuber models are more than just avatars.
