Anon please. The right answer is probably ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Influential chinks worked in the shadows to organize an army of rrats to attack Coco, chama and the CN branch while bureaucratic tomfoolery took place behind the scenes. CN was ejected for being a liability (VirtuaReal is separate from niji to a degree, which insulates them a bit more from this sort of attack) This hurt cover's brand image, allowing Chinese agencies a greater advantage in the vtubing space while letting whoever's backing the ex-cn talents (their models are much higher spec) pick up the talent on the rebound.

Coco's abrasive reaction, coupled with cover not letting her apologize properly in order to spare themselves shame, made her the easiest target in order to continue attacking hololive to drive down their popularity relative to Chinese domestic streamers funded by tencent and others. Traitors chinks within the company used their own influence to passive aggressively harass and sabotage her (as well as chama to a lesser degree) until she quit due to artificially and maliciously created creative roadblocks. Huge win for Chinese agencies as Coco was the poster bitch and driving force behind Cover's broader global outreach. She talked about hololive es which the company and thus the chinks would've known about before us.

Coco's part ends here. She's going on her farewell tour. Haachama will likewise follow suit. Her being blocked from collabing with the en girls was a canary in the coal mine. The changs presumably let up because insiders informed them that she's planning to quit after Coco. Now they're switching to Fubuki because she's Cover's mascot.

Tldr the Coco incident was a tactic for a broader strategy of exploiting cover's own administrative ineptitude in order to take them out of the (cn) market and make way for talents and agencies approved of by President pooh bear. This rrat makes the most sense given that the underlying goal seems to be the acquisition of tech and profit.

Between artia vaguely whining like a bitch on Twitter because she can't keep secrets and her probably being HERE (along with Risu), it's reasonable to believe that there was massive institutional fuckery going on surrounding Hololive's relationship with China. And now they're gonna get lured right back into it with the promise of sponsorship money because IT'S NEVER OVER.

This is the legendary super rrat that's gone even further beyond hating Coco because she's American.
