I mean, yeah, but this sentence
>We know that holos tend to get a bigger share on merch than on superchats, and we know that roughly 30% of superchats go to the talents. If we say the talent gets 50% of merch, that means her pre-tax income is around $84k from merch alone this year so far.
is not adding up. When you say that 35% (it's not 30 btw) of superchat goes to talent, you talk about percentage of gross donation numbers, when you talk about 50% of merch sales, you talk about percentage from Cover's margin on it. You compare two very different percentages, and that's incorrect.
>We know that holos tend to get a bigger share on merch than on superchats
If "share" here implies split of the net income between the company and the talent, then 50% for merch is low, because it is the percentage for superchat, but you say it must be bigger than that. If "share" means their piece from gross merch sales, than it is too low, because with the assumption of 40% to be Cover's margin, it means that talent gets 20% of the gross sales, which again contradicts with your thesis about higher cut from merch than from superchat.
In the end, you are still getting correct answer in terms of what gives Towa more money, but you are calculating it wrong and there's a probability that you can come to a different conclusion if you take someone's else superchat an merch sales.

Thanks for coming to my HoloMeth talk.
