Pretty sure that's just a tit-for-tat, she covered a lot of songs by the composers on her album around the time of Still Still Stellar's release. It's a criminally underrated song though, had some Western band come up with that riff in the 70's or 80's it'd be right up there with Breadfan and The Trooper in terms of recognizability. The album is pretty good also, even though it kind of peters out towards the end Zenbu anta no sei is easily the best song on it.
