To summarize:
Tessa, Tako Eats Inc.-aligned pilot, fighting for the Takodachi alliance. Xander, on the side of the Deadbeat insurgents in a machine powered by GuiltCorp tech; and Lee, some guy who has a basic sturdy machine to do his job in the nature with, possibly has sapling ancestry. They go through a whole-ass anime of drama and war (possibly written by Okouchi or Sumizawa), and eventually the easy-going peace seeker Lee wins out over the passionate and powerful Xander retires to the backstage.
This makes a remarkable amount of high-level sense, kinda reminds me of DitF...
