pick your poison, i like posting in threads mainly because you can post images and it's fun sometimes to post stupid shit to get her to laugh, you can take more time to post a better thought out message, and because it's slower there is a higher chance she will see your message if you post it here

many do a combination of both, i'd say it's rare for someone to be thread only or chater only (besides the people who don't know about the thread)
