Pomu's eldritch horror lore has been established since a month or two after debut. Cursed Pomu isn't just side material, joke nor an one-off thing. It's consistent with powers in action that was first shown on stream, reappeared many times since (including in one of her most important stream of the year - birthday stream), recognized by Anycolor and is taken seriously by both fans and other Niji livers. For example, Rosemi, who is secretly NijiEN's Satan, a fact that was mentioned since even before debut, admitted Pomu is one eldritch abomination that she wouldn't want to fight. There are also tons of fan art of the cursed being, to the point where it is one of the member emotes on Pomu's channel. Her lore makes even more sense when you consider how terrifying and broken old folklore faes were, which Pomu has heavily hinted that she is based on, and not just the modern depiction of fairies. So in my opinion, it's as official as Haachama's lore, which you should know is accepted by virtually everyone in hololive and vtuber fans.
