I was on /wsg/'s vtuber general back when it was all JPs. Way before Myth, before Gen 5, and only a bit after Gen 4. I noticed that this cute blonde girl spoke a bit of English and had cute moments. And I kept smiling every time I saw her. Then I checked her out, and she became my oshi. While I was not around at the very beginning, I was around for a lot of her most important moments. I was also around to experience her first major hiatus, but that was nothing compared to this. I MISS HER SO MUCH

While I may not be the biggest fan of the outfit, Chammers used to use a certain blue outfit all the time, you know?

I miss the best days of being a Haaton. You can basically cite any time before the oversaturation of the schizo arc as the best times. From all the way back to tsun Haato to then. That entire time was great in various different ways that changed over time. And now it has been years of me missing the better times. Are they ever coming back? Will I always miss the good old days? Heck, I miss the vtubing days before I saw Chammers for the first time. Everything was so new, and I wasn't obsessed with one in particular. It was just a cool concept.

Do you ever miss when she was just Akai Haato? Before Haachama was ever even a name? Do you miss her old outfit being used primarily and not just in 3d? Do you ever miss her old voice (it was slightly deeper)? Do you ever miss even casual nods to her being a tsundere? Do you miss others treating her like a normal friend/coworker instead of this weird girl?

I love Chammers, but I miss her old self so much. It feels like seeing a part of her die.

Looking in my folder, this was my oldest image I had saved. Judging by the filename, you can make your own conclusions. I was there about a month or two after she debuted, but didn't actively follow her until a bit later.

It's hard to explain. I suppose their is some disappointment, but it's combined with other emotions. Heck, part of me is a little relieved that I can put a face to the girl I've watched for so long. I know what I'm saying sounds a bit contradictory, but I haven't felt a shock like this before over a chuuba. I've learned what plenty of them look like, but this one was special because it is Haachama, so it makes me feel differently. I would say mixed feelings is the best thing for me to say.

Goddamn it. Please don't give me hope that Haachama is here to stay. I've been following her nearly from the beginning, and I've spent an ungodly amount of time watching her streams. But when she went on that extended hiatus I decided to unsub from her channel and leave /vt/ for good. I was sick of her inability to keep her promises and getting disappointed constantly. I was way too emotionally attached this schizo, and took it way too hard when I thought she was going to graduate.

I have not kept up with anything vtuber-related since leaving, but now she is apparently back and has been uploading somewhat regularly. Fuck. I don't know if I should start watching again. I really don't want to get too attached again. However, I must admit that having now watched her most recent Slither stream has made me feel happy hearing her voice again after so long. It also seems that the hiatus killed the activity of these threads as well, unfortunately.
