to be perfectly fair to the haatons here, there's no explicit rules for this. API use has been tolerated before. That sheet is basically peak automation of user inputs, which is very much an unfair advantage, but it's also clear why they built it - because they could.
honk has been explaining this several times - there is NO WAY in the current software to discern api-calls from using the interface. In the backend, it all looks the same. Even if called from an excel sheet. There's also nothing in the Info explicitly saying not to do it. This is a fun project, (you) do not pay to use it, and basically the devs put some trust into the players to not utterly break it.
I'm way too retarded and tired but what we'd have to call for is not banning the haatons - who found this loophole, abused it for a while and now even made it public. Didn't sheet-haaton also specify all the API-Calls come from google servers now? Basically we'd have to demand from honk that he looks into whether he can somehow recognize those IPs and ban those in particular. Unless we have users playing from Google headquarters, this should disable the current version of the tool, right? That decision is STILL with him.
Basically, since the playerbase all can put some autism into figuring out why and how that shit works, might as well brainstorm ways to disable it and feedback that shit to the devs.
