/vt/ - Virtual Youtubers

I don't actually have any plans to try streaming or Vtubing,
But I did have this idea of a Vtuber's debut stream transitioning into Monty Python's lumberjack song in my head for a while and I decided I liked the joke enough to do it myself.

It's not good and if I had time for more than one take I'd re-record it, but somehow I'm still pleased enough with myself to want to share it anonymously.

I don't really use /wvt/, just didn't know where else to share this.

>I was gifted a sub for a vtuber I never once watched
>feel obligated to at least check her out since she's currently streaming
>~60 viewers, some sort of art stream, she's barely speaking.
>look at the donations ranking thing
>guy who gifted me the sub is at the top with like 4700 and something USD
>second place is in low double digits

So two questions:
1. holy shit what the fuck
2. how does gifting subs in Twitch work? I always assumed it's just to folks who are in the stream currently.
