As much as I despise Mori, I think Takamori could have been the best pairing if Mori didn't have massive homophobia, wasn't chasing dick constantly, and wasn't a terrible friend. So basically, if Mori wasn't Mori.

The whole clash of different worlds they had, the tsundere dynamic, the fact that they actually lived near each other (initially). All of it had a lot of potential. There's just nothing really like it. Imagine if they had just LARPed as gays.

How many times has some mediocre Holo song hit 1 million in a few days, while equally good if not better music from other vtubers don't even get half that in weeks. Vtubing isn't a meritocracy, simple as. Not saying the girls who make it into HL don't deserve it, nah obviously they worked hard to get there, but once you get there don't pretend it isn't smooth sailing. (I mean for fucks sake, vtubing/streaming as a whole is an easy bag once you've made it - imagine making more in a week than some people make in a year, all just for playing video games ffs).

How'd I do? Did I cover everything? Point is, there's memeable moments from this stale drama (the lean mixup was hilarious) but I don't see anything to get mad about. I'm watching the TTRPG VOD since I do not care for more Rise just yet, and hearing Kiara squeal when Mori teased her with the safety word was cute. It was such a natural and unexpected reaction.

Takamori died so that their genuine friendship arc could live. I hope she gets to go back to Japan someday, or Mori gets kicked out for some sort of gaijin crime, so they can see each other in-person again.
