I'm trying to explain from the point of view of the female gaze, not the male gaze. I'm male but I spend a lot of time just examining fujos and yumes. If a woman thinks I'm completely wrong then I'll take the L.
I have seen a couple doujins where the man "enjoys it" but they are generally portrayed as mentally ill, stockholmed or just generally reliant on the woman. It's not so much about them enjoying getting hurt, but that they allow it or seek it because they're so desperate for female approval.
