Don't take it too hard, but this is anon and this may be of help to you so I'm going to be brutal.

>One of the hallmarks of a bad design is that it does not tell much of a story. Default human got out of bed and wore default outfit. You have to think about what this character has lived through to get there. Do they have an alliance, what kind of facial structures they got and what kind of expressions someone like that carries. What kind of weapon he uses... You don't want to over design, but you don't want to under design either, especially in the case of a character that has to show up a lot like a vtuber model.
