Do you find that you write better when you are overwhelmed by emotions, like lust, sorrow, loneliness, completely engulfed by them
or
is it easier to write when you are calm and collected, able to actually process said emotions?

Asking for a friend and probably a coping mechanism for the crippling loneliness I'll be going through in my immediate future
