Falseflagging nijikeks and newfags can't overwrite the fact that the entire reason the filter was invented was to get rid of fucking Zs, because there was a time where we used to actually count them before (remember pic related?).

Whichever filter reduces the Z effect and makes the graph look normal is the one that will be more reliable in calculating gold. And for today the surge filter was used because the normally used N-filter didn't catch one of the vertical Z-peaks.
