Since the map doesn't show the poles, was it agreed to create straits through the northern sea so it's not a giant land locked lake?

I agree with this. just put the straits in unclaimed territory like pic related. The eastern strait should just be put north of shishilamy so any territorial claim or question about how they're construct a canal is null.
