Never ever ever give some rando on the internet your bank account and routing number because they claim they don't have a credit card/paypal and want to do a donation by bank transfer. They will empty your account. Your bank will gladly transfer over more money than you have and charge you an overdraft fee (good idea to call your bank and have them turn off overdraft protection too.) It's like giving them the 12 numbers on the front of a credit card, 3 digits on the back, and expiration date, except without any consumer protections.

It seems like common sense but if you've only used your bank account to cash a check from your grandma, you might not know how it works.
