It seems many westeners don't get this, but it's absolutely true
Even for Rushia, most fans knew the performer had a bf. She didn't even try to hide it at all on her "roomate" account.
But her mistake came from being extremely unprofessional and using her character's discord to talk with him and lead to that event. The way she managed it then made it worse on top of normies/casual fans thinking it was a big reveal and scandal. Until that point, it wasn't an issue and most fans were aware, but made the difference character/performer.
