My problem isn't necessarily the animal part, it's specifically that the animal I was thinking doesn't match up at all with human expressions. So the challenge is how to anthropomorphize/humanize it without getting too furry. The note about Brian Griffin is a bit helpful though, I'll keep that in mind anon.

My initial idea was just one of these bad boys. However, I realized that it pretty severely limits how expressive the avatar can be, so now I'm playing around with a more anthropomorphized variation. Nothing against furries(generally) I just don't think its the audience I want to cater to.
