Some of it makes sense, but even reading vol2ch2 feels weird without having read Decagrammaton and knowing who Himari and Eimi are. They put up warnings sometimes, but for the main story not so much.
I can sort of understand it, but since they have permanent event stories now, feels like they should encourage you to read Deca, Izuna's intro event, and eventually Michiru's intro event when that goes permanent. As-is, you can roll up on the Final volume and so much of it is simply not going to land. She's preparing to head into Volume 5 and get a whole lot of pic related.
A lot of the events don't really matter, but important characters being introduced in events probably ought to get in game "read this first!" warnings.
That said Niya, a super important character, is introduced in an event that's not permanent so when she shows up and Sensei knows her well Shiina's gonna be lost
