In case you didn't see it during the January 1st - January 27th period a L O T of people in the numbers thread actually stopped watching streams altogether because "the numbers were depressing".
They literally just open a stream to stare at the counter while the stream acts as background noise.
To the furthest extend possible they just flat-out do not watch streams.
