This is the ideal. They should be free to produce the kind of content they want. Obviously the ones choosing to pander to unicorns to get paypigs don't get to complain about them but the fact that Cover feels the need to push this image onto talents was an unfortunate development in Hololive's history that happened right about when retarded EOPs and chinks started pouring in.

Gachikoi pandering after sankisei debuts was Hololive's faustian bargain. They brought in loads of gachikoi meaning supacha and fan content which in turn made them explode in popularity but it also meant increasingly more schizos in the fanbase, increasingly more retarded restrictions aimed to please them and increasingly more antis. Neither the talents (who are not professionals in any way and half of whom haven't signed up for this shit having debuted when it was considered to be more of a hobby) nor management can deal and the entire thing is becoming unhinged. Was it ever going to last like this even without Zhangs kicking the door in? Golden era of Hololive was late 2019 to mid 2020, but even then it was trading long time stability for rapid growth there and then. Things are becoming less and less fun around here.
