Mysta's thing is quite weird. He obviously just saw this as another job where he'd get about 3k viewers and be comfy, with maybe adding his own charm to the Nijisanji ecosystem... but then got unexpectedly popular all of a sudden.

He chased the vibes of people like Mito and Gibara, but found out that his audience weren't Japanese teenagers who enjoyed that shit, but Chinese fujo women who wanted to either suck your cock or old chinese ladies who wanted to henpeck you about all the shit you were doing wrong, or not being "professional enough".
Obviously they got zero managerial support on how to handle antis and shitty fans, so he simply responded to them like a normal twitch streamer would - shitting on them and giving them attention - simply encouraging that behavior.
I saw a conversation in /NijiEN/ where one anon was sad about never being able to get attention from Mysta because he was a poorfag, and a sister tells him to send a 5$ SC shitting on him because he reads those often enough... it was kinda sad to read that stuff.

To add to that, his irl friends (and some school bullies) caught wind of his good fortune, and tried to clout chase, which he didn't handle well because he had some past trauma with all of them. It was similar to Risu's thing with her relatives, and I think he even moved out once.

With proper management, advise on how to handle social media, and a bit of internal support and perhaps some litigation help to get him away from with his "friends", he could've done this gig for YEARS and been super happy.
But alas.

Every single western celeb is artificially pushed by those who control the algorithms on big sites, and so all of them have handlers who have blackmail material that they use to string them along.
These streamers know that eventually some of this shit might come out, or maybe they might do drugs or alcohol to cope with their situation and fuck something up at some point and ruin their lives.
None of them expect to make it through the industry in a few years, they all expect to get thrown in the trash once whoever is using them no longer needs them.
They're simply warning the "fans" that they're obligated to get to not get attached too much to them because they know they will eventually come crashing down.

On the other hand, smaller streamers and JP ones that are grateful for all the support they get are usually genuine, because they don't have these strings hanging in front of them like the Sword of Damocles.

It was never Hololive fans harassing anyone.
If you look up the earliest tweets about the Holostars, most of the replies were basic concernfagging like "eh? will these guys be ok?" etc.
It was mostly Nijisanji fans using Hololive as a weapon to bash Holostars by pretending to be Holofans that happened throughout that time (which continues to this day btw).
It's just that, back then (mid 2019) Hololive was a mere startup and Nijisanji was the market leader with millions of fans, and so Hololive fans of the time couldn't really fight against the popular narrative created by nijisan falseflags.
Some holofans obviously joined in as well, thanks to peer pressure, but most of that campaign was driven by nijifags (you can see how the attitude of Hololive fans to the stars has "changed" over the years - i.e. the audience grew enough that narratives against homos could be discarded).
Unfortunately the campaign was so successful that even some of the girls and the JP homos believed it, which didn't help.
So basically "holofans harassed homos when they started" became the truth among most of the community.
This is also why you should never leave an inch for nijiniggers to spread their narratives
