hikkiNEET mama's boy gets reincarnated in a world with a noble family but they're very abusive which forces him to break out of his shell to escape from home and explore the world while struggling with homelessness and building his life from nothing to become a proper adult.
very minimal fantasy elements like magic or superpowers or if they exist they're unrelated to him because he's totally talentless. most of the plot is just dealing with people and navigating life in this medieval-inspired world. lots of the conflict is related to real world issues/struggles like the protagonist being a awkward virgin, racism, slavery, politics/class conflict between nobles and peasants, the effects of war on the "normal people" just trying to live their lives, the protagonist learning economics working as a merchant or trader, etc.

Basically just combine Spice & Wolf with Ascendance of a Bookworm and Mushoku Tensei something.

Maybe I'm just an edgelord but I really like shows where the protagonist actually has real struggles and hardship and watching them grow as a person. Most modern anime don't take their themes seriously enough or develop their characters much.
