I'll throw out some ideas and leave the rest to you, just since you think it's too detailed
--clock is the bulk of the body
--limbs are extend directly from it and are mechanical (like automatons)
--hour hand is at 11 for K when active, minute and second line up with arms extending out
--either the arms, legs or all four are themed after Kronii's weapons (which aren't 100% identical)
--alternatively only two limbs that can be arms or legs and the little guys have a back-clock that's even more helicopter like
--alternatively take a page from the RX-160S Byarlant and that back-clock can be arms (possibly asymmetrical a la Kronii's weapons) when not in flight
It's a lot of words but the reduction in mass might be a good direction, along with more spindly, mechanical limbs
