Finding a circle of other chuubas you're comfortable and interact with is critical for indies. One big advantage of agencies is that you chuubas have coworkers/genmates. People's interest naturally fade abd move to other things; but with companies there's some kind of communication vessel at work where commonly people shiftfrom one vtuber to another in the same company as it's easier when you've gotten used to them beforehand. Most viewers end up sticking to one company's vtubers. With indie circles it works in similar ways, and it also makes it easier to fill a blank and adds more depth to communities.
I remember Rose (africat) was slowly declining and feeling a bit miserable until she found some friends in Nina & co and then it was back upward for her in mood and numbers. It's one of the reasons some indies join literal who companies sometimes that don't seems to give any benefit outside of getting closer to other vtubers.
Ofc it's up to bea etc etc but she seems interested lately so, yeah.
