Animal sounds wont bother saplings. The Treant carrying the clan mother is rather slow during approach, so hopefully they won't seem menacing.
I mentioned this before, but fires are ok, even saplings sometimes use them, just as long as we dont see you light up an acre of forest for fun, you should be fine.
