I've been busy this week, but I hope you've all been thinking about what you wanted to do for Mori's birthday in 3 months. Since I'll probably be the one organizing it this year, here's my thoughts on everyone's suggestions:
>Some sort of battle royale
Not enough detail to focus on or get submissions from anons
>A top down twinstick shooter with submitted deadbeat enemies
Interesting, but I'm not sure how interested other anons will be. Would have to hash out more details
>A turn based mecha game where anons make different parts
Very ambitious, but it did have the most discussion iirc. Might have to scale down to finish in time.
>A Cookie Clicker clone where anons submit different deadbeats
Doesnt really feel as Mori related as the other games since she's never really talked about clicker games, would be down to make it some other time.
>A VN that follows the misadventures of Tutu
We dont have very many writers itt anymore, but this would probably be the easiest game to get less artistic anons to submit something for.
>Rhythm game involving cute sprites
Not sure if chiptune beat is around and seems to be pretty difficult
>Create a skeleton, piece by piece with anons submitting art or pictures of their assigned bone
Again not so sure about the interest in this one since I dont remember the discussion for this, but it's probably one of the easier projects we can put together plus we could use the same ideas from the mech game for it
>A memory booklet including writings or doodles of some memorable moments from the past year submitted by anons
Similar to the picture book from 2 years ago. It's a cute idea but we would really need anons to work on their page/moment for it to work.
>A printed booklet of different versions of the "a deadbeat" picture
I feel like this can already be done just be scouring the archives.
>A recipe book/collage of tacos/sandwiches that she can make while in Japan
Same as the memory book, but probably would take a lot more work
>A /morig/ sings project
I think she'd like this especially with how she reacted when FuwaMoco mentioned theirs, plus it's something that was planned from the early days of /vt/ that was never executed on. Im guessing some of us have experience with submitting and making these as well.
>A shrine collage
Kinda redundant with valentine's day coming up, but she is gonna be doing a charity stream this year instead so we could do this.
>Collaborative cum jar
I have enough saved up that I could do this myself
>A new roomba
No gifts is still a rule
>Finger painting
Cute idea that she mentioned recently. Could be incorporated into the other art projects
>Frame by frame animation
Extremely ambitious. Probably not a birthday project, but a 4th anniversary project if we start now.
I dont want to influence what project this thread ends up choosing too much, but if I had to pick a top three it would be the /morig/ sings project, a finger paint deadbeat collage, or the VN, but only because I can see the most anons submitting things for these three. Not sure if theres a way to accurately poll the thread, but I'll be posting this a throughout the next couple days to see what anons are interested in and maybe narrow down the submissions until we can do a poll. We have less than 3 months left until Mori's birthday, so we should finalize what we are doing sometime this week

I like shiori and her novelites.
I'd make a game for them if I wasn't swamped with work and out of ideas for games

You're right, but the trick is that the Morinium doesn't need to be exposed to the vacuum of space, unlike a radiator (which radiates heat of the ship to the rest of the universe). So you can enclose it so as to contain all light emissions and prevent their detection. I haven't put any numbers on it, but supposedly the heat energy absorbed by the morinium is greater than the light energy emitted, otherwise I don't think it would cool very well.
That's a good question... I think a basic idea would be that if vitubium emits conceptual waves using energy, you can use vitubium to absorb conceptual waves and detect a change in energy level. Similar to how a radio antenna can be used to both detect and emit a radio signal (though they tend to be optimized for one or the other.)
Or maybe some devices could work more like a compass with magnetic fields, and show the direction and strength of a conceptual field as a proxy for the conceptual waves. A bit like the Galileo thermometer-inspired VT-meter from Sojourning which raises the bubbles in response to the ambient magical field.

Dev here, glad you made a level. I'll check it out today before I go to work.
Were there any issues you ran into making and testing the level or with the level editor in general? I know you posted before about an error message popping up in browser before, but that didnt seem to stop you exporting the json iirc

We can have multiple people writing for one thread, in fact I think that enriches the lore by a lot! You're definitely adding a lot to /hag/ lore, so I'd like it if you kept writing.

Ah, basically, 1130 years ago, /vt/ was split from /jp/. Concisely, the world of /jp/ was copied, without the JPanons, and placed in a different dimension. With a few errors and differences in the copy, but by and large, the world remained similar, with roughly the same main landmasses and biosphere for example. Before the split, how long things existed is unclear, I think. My headcanon is that so that all the spec bio we have so far works, the lifeforms have to have existed for a long time (millions of years), preceding even the existence of /jp/, which means there might have been other "dimension transport" events, such as the creation of 4chan.
Tell me if anything I'm saying doesn't make sense.
