K-pop isn't western, there's no aesthetic in the USA like it. Some elements seem americanish but the koreans take bad parts of american culture that no one likes and make them worse, bafflingly.

It would be like americans taking the awful work culture of south korea and doubling down on it.

There are also good things in korean society, obviously. But it's like comparing British slags and deanos and saying that americans did that. Americnas don't even know what a slag or a deano is and would be horrified to learn they exist.
