I'm in the same boat as you anon but with a twist.
I supported her since debut, and I just want to see her happy. But deep down I knew she will eventually won't need my support anymore as she grow into her career. It's like watching your daughter grow up so fast, and you start to see some distance between you and her.
Yeah sure she reassures you that nothing will ever change and she values her audience, but I know I am nothing a but a speck in her ever growing sea of kenzoku. It does hurt a little bit, you will never get to (or even deserve the right to) advance your position as someone to get to know your oshi on a personal level, and Towa have zero reason to even acknowledge me no matter how big of a fan, or how loyal you are. I'm not a needy person, and definitely not a menhera, but each passing day I think about this a lot.
But as long as she's happy. I'm happy!
