So since Zaimons are named after Digimon, I thought about what we would we look like and I came upon the Zubamon line (the rookie form on the top right) and it perfectly fits.
From the wiki:
>Zubamon is a Weapon Digimon. It is one of the "Legend-Arms", who are capable of transforming themselves into weapons. A legend about the Legend-Arms goes, "if held by an angel, it will save the world, and if held by a demon, it will destroy the world."
So there is a reference to the fate of the world's apocalypse being in the wielder's hands just like in Zaion's lore, Zubamon and above can transform into swords like how Zaion can manifest weapons out of thin air, has a golden appearance just like Zaion's favorite color, and the Zu name compliments Za.
