It's unfair to say Kanata hates Kanata. She might still have shitty self-esteem, but she really did learn to love herself much more. The problem is that she's pathologically averse to imposing on others or demanding things, even if it's things she ought to be entitled to, so she'll just accept whatever treatment she gets without complaining or at least trying to get a better deal. At least that's how it appears to me.
