not sure yet. going to try and get a better idea of how far I can take a shitty old K80 with SD before I buy one. it's only $90. if I really wanted to spend money I didn't have I'd buy a 12GB 3060 Ti and kick my RX5700 to the curb

no, it's actually going to dip into what was otherwise earmarked for replacing my main dinosaur with a Ryzen machine. every computer in here has an Ivy Bridge or Ivy Bridge-E CPU, kek. it's actually what's stopping me from buying something like a 3060 or nicer, it'd be completely fucking useless in my desktop beyond letting me decode 8K HEVC and AV1.

I can't run a 3060 Ti in my server without either dangerously splitting and converting 4pin molex to PCI-E power, or tearing out the PDU in here and trying to find a newer replacement fuck that, I have no idea how Supermicro does this shit. the PSUs are hot swappable and seemingly entirely separate from what handles the actual wiring and plugs inside the chassis? there are dual I think 1kW units in here, but the plugs and wires all come out of a different unit inside it, and the last time I tried to find a replacement unit I couldn't figure it out. an A2000 would be perfect because it's a single slot 3060 that draws power only from the PCI-E slot, but the 12GB one is still $600+...

Elira flat out doesn't work without the embed. And I say that as...well, look at picrel.
