Simple, she brings in additional viewers and it reaches further in the YT algorithm. Easy to see which three days she streamed. Plus she streamed the week before to help bring in the viewers.
It's no coincidence that every time she returns, everyone benefits.

The new-gen overlapping each other affected their numbers, not Gura. With Gura streaming her usual timeslot, there were more people watching Hololive as a whole. That is the real goal. As you can see with the two days Gura didn't stream.

Gura has been streaming at 8PM EST for over three years now. The new gen are not only overlapping Gura, but each other. And affecting each other more, while Gura remains consistent. Oddly, everyone does better when Gura streams.

Can you guess which two days, Gura didn't stream?
