On Oricon digital downloads daily chart today: Suisei's new single Kakero is 4th, it's "b-side" Tenkyuu is 3rd with 2,174 units sold while BTS's new single Permission to Dance takes the first spot with 18,232 units sold reminding everyone what actual popularity looks like. Since I estimated Bluerose/Comet sales at around 2,000 on the first day, it's interesting to have concrete numbers that match it for the next single. It's also interesting that the numbers match despite Kakero's MV being late and the single thus lacking a Youtube video on her channel and also iTunes being the sole retailer for the first day. I guess this represents the number of die-hard JP Hoshiyomi who actively follow Suisei and are ready to dish out cash at the first opportunity. Although it does seem that some new people were brought along by the new release, since Suisei's entire discography charted on iTunes Top 200 by the end of the day.

Tenkyuu's 8.6M views (third most viewed video on Suisei's channel) seem to have made it do better than Comet with it's 3.6M views (sixth). It's kind of amusing to see that Tenkyuu did better than the new release whereas Comet did worse. Tenkyuu's instrumental, which is from the actual b-side, also hovered around iTunes Top 200 until evening whereas Kakero instrumental never made it to the chart.
