Having a parasocial relationship with a vtuber will always require some suspension of disbelief, if the girls are good at keeping up the illusion then maintaining the suspension of disbelief is considerably easier.
If the girls openly thirst over jacked dudes on stream then it shatters the illusion. It becomes considerably harder to believe that these girls would ever give an uglier individual a chance.
