It's basically them growing more distant overall. A lot of people really enjoyed their dynamic, thinking back to their Die Hard watchalong, early Minecraft streams, A Way Out etc, and they both benefited from it view wise but common consensus is that Ame killed it because she got insecure when people would mention Gura in her chat (and I guess when people would mention Ame in Gura's to a lesser extent). Ame prides herself on being a content creator (well she used to at least) so she only wanted people there to watch her alone.
