Early voting had an interesting assortment of players fighting for medal spots, including Sad Girl Company and Nasa, and of course the pre-existing medals. But things eventually settled quickly and the medal lineup was looking to stay the exact same as usual. The vote was going to be extremely boring. And then it wasn't.

Slowly, but steadily, Da Michi began rising in ranks to the point where she actually came ahead of Lemon and Panko. And Tenma behind them becoming an ever growing menace, but that danger didn't bear fruit. When 115 votes came in, Da Michi and Lemon Whore were TIED for second silver. Using all votes cast for the Gold 1 to Silver 2 range as a tiebreaker, Da Michi would still come ahead, although just barely. Panko Manko would have to fight the loser of Michi and Lemon Whore for the last medal slot, and ONE vote, just one, in favour of Lumi would send Michi completely out of the medal race because she would be LOSING in head-to-head against Panko Manko. And Panko needs to fight Michi, because Lumi beats her head to head! So in order to steal the medal from PANKO, MICHI had to beat LUMI. There was a proxy war being fought, and the only one being comfortable was Lemon Whore because no matter what, she would have a medal reserved.

And then comes another vote. It's for Michi! That means it's over, right? NO! The vote is invalid! Tension still in the air. And then another vote! It's for Michi again! Surely this time? NO! It's invalid AGAIN! Any vote coming for Lumi would lead to a massive shitshow because of the discarded votes that would otherwise help Da Michi. And then another vote for Michi! Is this one going to be discarded again? No, it's actually valid! Michi is starting to pull ahead, but it's not over yet, because she has to hold out for six more hours. And then another vote comes in, with Panko as gold, but the voter needs to vote for Lumi over Michi, which he doesn't, and the vote isn't legal anyway because once again only 4 medals were assigned. And after that vote, another invalid one, that had Panko as a medal, but would have hardly been of use. But as the final votes come in, Da Michi barely manages to hold on to her position and, prefaced by her goal in the match against Lia, BECOMES A SILVER FOR THE FIRST TIME! Welcome aboard, time for a new goalhorn (you all know which one).

And, the final silver vote is pure murder, Lemon Whore eviscerating Panko Manko and kicking her out of the medal zone. But at this point in time, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. Even if Lumi had beaten Michi, Michi managed to gather enough votes to edge Panko out by one if it had come to a frontal battle.

One thing to note is that Panko Manko made it to the final face-off for the Silver 1 position against Deerotic and blew it. It was her best chance, but Deerotic's lead was too large to be questioned. Also another observation is that Panko Manko has a clear core of pankophiles, which you can see from the impressive amount of gold votes she received. But once the supply of pankophiles dries up, the enthusiasm is lower, and people who had her on the medal list often had direct competitors placed higher. It's possible that the split also took some Panko voters away from the poll, which, if true, was fatal.
