We don't know what benefit exactly is provided when a talent reaches 1M, but I'm positive it's something each girl HAS TO get under a time limit.
Ever watched a holo do 1M marathon karaokes? They'll willingly destroy their throats singing for HOURS until that counter hits 1M+. Outside of 1M marathon karokes, you never see that degree of desperation from them EVER again.
But think about it... They'd reach 1M anyway. So what the fuck was up with them?
It's likely each Hololive girl is given a time limit to hit 1M. And it's heavily tied to company support/opportunities.
