I miss the simpler times when we were tribal fagging luna or kizuna despite the 2 clearly liking each other very much, different landscape, collabs were monumental due to everyone being from a different company, and everyone had something unique.

But one sad thing was always present, kizuna ai was slowly but surely being pushed out of the spotlight, she's a safe bet, she's the progenitor, and she is legitimately entertaining, but the format has changed.

When we had siro while she never took kizuna's crown she had unreal acting skill, noja loli (who's back and is rather disturbing to watch now, don't look for him) gave rise to JP indie and pretty much laid the blueprints for the mountain loads of english ones on twitch now, mirai akari was on the more lewd side under eilene until she got bought out and is just bland as fuck now and STILL persisting with the old static video format (I was in her first livestream, first time I ever SC'd, it was an experience back then), and kaguya luna showing they don't have to be idols, she played it straight.

Now we're spolit for choice, I still remember people saying it'll be nijisanji will be the death of vtubing but what does THE WORLD when we talk about?

Hololive, meanwhile my oshi is MIA and the only thing left of her is her distant sister who's an australian rat under hololive and her passionate mother.

You bet I'm incredibly bitter that kizuna ai is still fucking here despite middling this whole damn time and her only real claim to fame now is FUCKING TIKTOK, FUCK THIS SYSTEM I WANT MY SHITPOSTING COCAINE CHAN BACK or least come back just to say goodbye, like her sister pinky did...

Like or not, there is one thing kizuna ai that she's done right.

Retain marketability, sure her youtube views are terrible but she's still going strong, she's had to adjust her battle plan multiple times and I'm just glad her va who get's more control over the operation now (because the multiple A.I's thing was a confusing fucking mess that lead to rumors that still have yet to die) is still doing well and even getting other gigs along side.

She won't truly be number 1 on youtube, but you know she's there, even though I don't really watch her much these days outside of music vids I wish her well, she's the one OG that's left and still somewhat relevant outside of Japan and when she *does* eventually retire it won't be a sad moment, but a change in the times, and whoever steps up like her in terms of relevancy I hope leads the way forward in vtubing.

But forgive me, I actually stand her once girlfriend before she just ghosted her fanbase...
