I don't know if it's only the console version, but Crusader No Remorse had two control schemes, relative (tank control) and absolute (you press a direction and the character will go that direction). Heart of Darkness is short, but it is memorization heavy which isn't totally a bad thing. As long as their memory doesn't fail them they'll continually get further. The final stretch can be brutal on the other hand.
