It is. Since the second week of May there have been too many posts reported and deleted. I won't necessarily blame the jannies because some of them probably have no idea what people were talking about but I have my own suspicion since an ubiquitous post like this >>50483102 was deleted and banned. But the real problem doesn't lie in them, but the users, because, bare with me, because this will be a long rant (I don't expect anyone to read it fully anyway)

1. They are sensitive
Ever since the yab where anons who were making funs of Fauna for having the yab, which was always the normal occurrence and the last one was Kronii's homocollab where people can properly discuss and I don't see Kronies came and report every single one of the post unfavorable towards Kronii, but Fauna's case is different because saplings doesn't have their own thread so they use this thread like their own thread. Surprise surprise people are going to make fun of your oshi if they missteped. Which in turn,

2. Make number became the hugbox
Ok this is a long ass one.
People despise global because it is a plebbit-tier hugbox, but since the "all out war" there are some people in the most populated equatorial area of the world, which reside in this thread, made it their life mission to make the thread inhospitable to the nijiEN fans, which I have little sympathy for but I still view them as humans. They were drove out of the thread but nijiJP, or JP fans in general are still around a la vyt style last year. People are at least tolerable towards them and generally they were curious as what nijiJP had to offer.

But things changed after the yab, the mass bans and mass deletion when discussiong about Fauna's yab. I said it was Fauna's yab is because it is not just the "we cannot be friends" lecture that caused the commotion. It was a long time coming. They were using this thread as their own thread since last year because they somehow decided not to have their thread up when Fauna is not streaming, but somehow paradoxically they wanted to discuss her so they choose here because global is Mythfags' turf, and number thread was just cleared of nijiEN's fans due to the anon I mentioned before that made it their mission to make nijiEN's fans as miserable as possible for what their vtubers did.

Some might say it started with Robber Ross' appearance on her streaming and her flustering over it. Some saplings expressed their dislike for her action. There have been a few posts in global as some saplings ended their memberships even before the RobberRoss incident as people kinda get fed up with her (I have no idea why because I don't watch her) and the general atmosphere in global was like that. The RobbeRoss incident was just the anchor for people to shit on her because the masses always need to rally behind something. Saplings were getting extremely defensive about it and you can already see mass deletion happened in numbers at that time. That was before the niji 2% thing and Fauna's "getting real with saplings", or some might say, "lecturing the cucklings".

Things came to a climax during that "we cannot be friends yab", where they pull out every tactic in the book to just make her look good, by gaslighting (omitting the "we cannot be friends part" in her speech at the start), by reporting posts, by posting Fauna's own dox and get the whole reply chain taken down (and then ban evading obviously). The entire thread was unusable at that time because they either think
1. Number is their battleground to defend their oshi's honor
2. They actually think number is their thread
People were almost convinced that it was not a yab (in numbers only, global is aware she fucked up and still making fun of saplings to this day) until someone who was autistic enough to find the threads about the discussion and pointed out how many non deleted thread there were talking about it. Shitposting was on another level since then. They even abandon Fauna's image and use other holo's image just to shitpost and make people think "oh, all the other hololive fans are supporting saplings" or just want to take the heat of them.

This should have been ended like how Kronii's homo arc ended, but like Kronii, she did something unnecessary: banning the one that sent the SC. She didn't own up to her own mistake and moved on but was blaming others for her own misstep. It was brought up a few times but in the end people lost interest in all these debacle and they are getting tired. Those saplings that defended her for more than a week are too sleep deprived to make any move, which is why you can see the content and falsflagging and faunaposting died down a day or 2 before the aftermath.
