They pumped out several 3D lives. All of them were worse than the last. Millie's is now the worst performing 3D live in corpo history, barely beating out Rosemi's (which was a whole shitshow itself.) Also she begged for superchats in members posts, which got leaked.

The AR live finally came out. It was a complete joke. The girls got about a third of the time that the guys did, and yet they cost the same ticket price. The sisters were FUMING the whole time it was going on, and the stream failed constantly, with the audio being muted due to copyright, the stream refusing to load at several points, and random shots of the poster showing up between transitions for a frame. Sisters posted it on twitter and got super butthurt when /we/ shared it to shit on them.

The Nijisanji Virtual Rhapsody happened. It was a glorified karaoke and nobody fucking came. Also the meet & greet was so bad that they reduced everybody's time and forced people to share fucking earbuds. Meanwhile, the hololive 3D concert at Dreamhack fucking slapped. For reminders, the dreamhack concert cost less than 30 USD. The Virtual Rhapsody cost over 110 USD.

Back when Lazulight and Obsydia debuted, the world of vtubers was more like a cliff with a sharp edge.
You were either Hololive, with 10k+ viewers, or you were indie, with 100-200 viewers. There was no middle ground for the most part. Except perhaps on twitch, but that's another story.

For Selen to pull 3k was laughable by Holo standards of course, but it was actually nipping the heels of Kiara a little bit, and there were thoughts that perhaps NijiEN could grow and provide another option to Hololive. That's why I liked them, they were a legitimate alternative with their own style. Unfortunately it fell apart when the males debuted. They experienced a huge temporary surge that got Anycolor addicted to chinese money. The end the sisters got their coom, moved on, and when it all settled out the girls realized they had driven away their male fanbase.

If they had taken a different course, perhaps they could have grown steadily like Phase and actually become a legitimate alternative. But it was never to be, Nijisanji was corrupt from the very beginning. Elira had her hooks in the branch from day 1, the seed was poisoned.

Hoo boy, fans already get pissed at the amount they get studio time now, imagine trying to do that.
