This desu, classic rugpull when they announced luxiem. I never bothered to watch holoen and when watched nijien members, I knew it was tenfold better. Elira, Selen, those were actually fun vtubers to watch, but then as you said, m*les and dickriders (like nina) ruined everything. Holo tribalists laughed at niji fans back then saying how superior holoen was since there is (and never will be) males in EN branch. And after a few years what happened? HolostarsEN was announced which led forced collabs with girls, some collabing with them out of spite like amelia, mori, some avoiding them like a plague - Kiara, Gura. But look where we are now. The vtubing as a whole hobby is in shambles, crawling with normies, sisters, trannies, ewhores with coomerbait live2d avatars. Even the golden standard of vtubing which kickstarted the popularity of it all - hololive, is now mandating and enforcing normie standards like mixed gender collabs, with VCR project and other garbage no sane self respecting fan would never like.
We saw the golden age and now we watch as the entire hobby crumbles away before own very eyes.

The yabs have stopped since Omega left and Council finally began getting its house in order. Some people have come crawling back (easy marks), and I suspect their fans are also posting this stuff to try to incentivize people to give them a second try. Which is fine I guess, more power to them.

I'll watch Mori and Kronii in collabs but that's about all. I never particularly cared for Mori's content and I initially liked Kronii until she started having long periods of not streaming. After Myth started taking long breaks and/or started melting down with yabs, I just stopped watching Hololive for awhile except for JP clips.

Kaela, and then Biboo, got me back into Hololive and I think that's where I am going to stay. They play games pretty well, they stream a lot, they're funny and entertaining, and most importantly there isn't some drama with them every week and they aren't complaining about their chats.

It's a little hard to get over what happened with Myth and Council, even if Dimitri Jap seems like he is doing a better job of tard wrangling them than the previous management.
